Healing Betrayals

When working with couples relationships, it is important to provide tools to support partners who want to move beyond betrayals and painful patterns and create deeper understanding, safety, trust, and emotional connection and know Why. 

With over 30 years of experience in relationship therapy, I bring a non-judgmental, thoughtful, and practical approach to these complex relationship concerns, including the hiding behaviors, communication breakdowns, anxiety and stress, infidelity, shame and trauma. My work is designed to help both partners reduce emotional reactivity, clarify dynamics, and support meaningful, change as a couple while knowing the reasons why betrayals happened.

There are three Stages of Healing. First a clear, full Disclosure and managing the trauma occures. The next Stage is Attune to listen calmly to each other. The final stage is Attachment which may occur/or a separation. If you are at the beginning of this work you may have already made decisions. Clearly going through this process can help with whatever you choose. Any insights create space for healthier interactions, and more intentional decisions whether to connect or have the relationship break up. While going through this process clients often describe my style as calm, attentive, and deeply supportive, while also focused on results.

To match the needs of my clients, I offer in person and secure online appointments which provide both flexibility and privacy. My intention is to create a therapeutic experience that feels professional, supportive, and tailored to your needs. I provide practical tools you can use beyond our sessions such as ways to share feelings to open up past secrets.

We begin with an initial conversation to discuss your goals, along with practical considerations such as scheduling and fees, so you can move forward feeling informed, confident, and ready to invest in your relationship and personal growth.

• I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and others in my work. I have trained in EFCT Attachment Injury and Healing Affairs. I have experience in Disclosures after Discovering Infidelity. I often my blend of my Gottman training on Stages of Healing with EFCT. Not Just Friends and The Betrayal Bond are excellent resources I introduce to clients.
